Projects & assessment
Assess project submissions of portfolio modules with a percentage and a comment — the overall grade is recalculated on saving.
Why#
In portfolio modules the project makes up half of the grade. The assessment belongs in a place where the overall grade is right immediately.
How it works#
Click pathLecturerProjects & assessment
- 1In the lecturer area open “Projects & assessment” in the bar.
- 2For each submission view the file and enter a percentage and a comment.
- 3Save: the participant's overall grade is recalculated automatically.
Settings and switches#
No switch of its own in the feature catalogue — the feature belongs to its surroundings.
How the portfolio grade is formed#
A portfolio module is not assessed by a written exam but by several parts. The project submission is one of them and counts for half. When a project assessment is saved, the platform recalculates the participant's overall grade — nobody has to enter it by hand.
Tips#
- The project counts for 50 percent of the portfolio grade; participants see the gradebook and the discussion on the course page under “Achievements & participation”.
