How it all fits together

Three pictures: the overall structure of Universe, the Competence Academy in detail and the cycle of a competence.

Universe is one platform. On it stand two families: the Universe Ultimate Suite — the existing features as products — and the Universe Competence Academy with its offerings for schools, companies and individuals. Both rest on the same foundation, above all a competence engine. Whatever has a dashed outline is in the outlook and not yet usable.

The overall structure

One platform, two product families, one shared foundation.

Shared foundation

The Competence Academy in detail

Four offerings and a marketplace, supported by the curriculum pipeline, the competence engine and the competence passport.

The cycle of a competence

From the approved competence to the credential — and back again when competence fades.

  1. Define the competenceSuggested from the course content or broken down from the curriculum — effective only once a person approves it.
  2. Set a taskComprehension question and a task from practice; the rubric is fixed before the answer.
  3. Assess the answer0 to 3 points per criterion with a verbatim quote; a teacher checks disputed cases.
  4. Level and gapNot assessed, learning need identified, developing or demonstrated — every gap tied to a criterion.
  5. Targeted learning stepAn existing method at the right slide: example, Socratic, explaining back, exercise.
  6. ReassessA new task in a different context; the level follows only from new evidence.
  7. ContinueRepetition at suitable intervals, versioned evidence.
  8. Take it with you (on the roadmap, not yet usable)The evidence in the portable competence passport, shared via QR code.

If a competence fades or the goal changes, the cycle starts again.
