Learning support in the Universe Competence Academy: partners offer, learners register — under 16 only with a parent's consent by email.
Why#
Learning support starts where the gap is: first check what is missing, then practise in a targeted way, then check again. Anyone under 16 needs their parents' consent for this.
How it works#
- 1On the website open /plattform/academy/tutoring and choose at the bottom under “Registration”: “As a partner” or “As a prospect”.
- 2Prospects enter name, email and date of birth and consent to the privacy notice — “Register”.
- 3Under 16: additionally a parent's email address. The parent receives a link, reads what it is about and clicks “I agree”. Until then no access is created.
- 4Via the same link the parent can withdraw consent at any time; access is then blocked immediately.
- 5The operator sees every registration with its status (received, waiting for parents, released, withdrawn) under “Requests” and gets in touch — price on request.
Settings and switches#
No switch of its own in the feature catalogue — the feature belongs to its surroundings.
What it builds on#
- Tutor chat in the course player — questions to a tutor during the course, protected by the AI guardrails
- Learning modes — being asked Socratic questions, explaining back, example, exercise
- Competence diagnosis — identify a gap, targeted learning step, reassess
- Lecturers' office hours and study partners in the community
Parental consent#
- Under 16 a parent's confirmation via email link is required (double opt-in).
- The times of the request, the consent and any withdrawal are stored; of the link only a fingerprint, never the link itself.
- No data to third parties.
- A guard in the code checks that without confirmation neither an invitation nor an account nor an enrolment is created.
Tips#
- The confirmation link is valid for 14 days; after that fill in the registration again. Withdrawal has no deadline.
- An email program that opens links in advance confirms nothing: consent is only given by the click on the page.
