The whole system as an app for phones and tablets of both major mobile platforms.

Why#

Notifications, storage on the device, an icon on the home screen — and for many institutions the expected form in which a learning platform is handed out to students and employees.

How it works#

  1. 1In the owner's order it comes after the new editor, the competence diagnosis and competence continuity.
  2. 2What is meant is the whole system, not just the course player.

Settings and switches#

No switch of its own in the feature catalogue — the feature belongs to its surroundings.

Purpose#

Today the platform runs entirely in the phone's browser (see “Mobile in the browser”). An app from the store adds what the browser cannot do or can only do to a limited extent, and meets the expectation of many institutions.

Planned scope#

  • the same roles and surfaces as in the browser: learning, teaching, exams, studies, administration — according to the tenant's switches
  • the mobile player with transport bar and control ring as the starting point
  • what the browser cannot do or can only do to a limited extent, such as notifications and storage on the device

The scope is described, not promised; there is no date.

Dependencies#

  • the preceding steps of the order (editor, competence diagnosis, continuity)
  • tenants, brand and feature switches must also apply in the app
  • the rules for data in the EU apply unchanged
