Camera in the watch-along room
liveForStudentsTeaching staff
The participants' camera and microphone feeds as a strip in the watch-along room — with explicit consent, without recording.
Why#
Faces turn watching together into a meeting.
How it works#

- 1Switch on the camera in the watch-along room. By switching it on you consent to the video and audio transmission to the co-learners.
- 2The images appear as a strip at the bottom right; your own is marked “(You)”.
- 3Camera and microphone can be toggled individually.
Settings and switches#
- Switchable per tenantDefault: offModule: Gemeinsam schauen
- Default: off. Can be switched on per tenant.
Consent and data protection#
- The camera is off until you switch it on yourself; switching it on is the consent to transmission to the co-learners in the room.
- Image and sound only go live to the others in the room; nothing is recorded.
- Camera and microphone can be switched off individually at any time.
- For the institution the feature is separately switchable and off by default.
Tips#
- Nothing is recorded — the images only go live to the others in the room.
