Slide assistant: an avatar builds with you

ForTeaching staff

An avatar greets you when creating a new course, asks by voice or text about topic, audience, length, tone, material and language and builds the draft from it; in the editor it carries out requests such as “delete slide 3” or “more images” and — only with consent — learns how you work.

Why#

Building slides should feel like a conversation: say what you want instead of filling in forms. And next time it is faster, because the assistant remembers how you work.

How it works#

  1. 1In the workshop under “New course”, tap the assistant at the bottom right. It greets you: “Ok, what kind of presentation shall we build?”
  2. 2Answer by microphone (only after clicking the microphone) or by keyboard: topic, audience, length, tone and form of address, material, language. For material, the workshop's file selection opens.
  3. 3Check and change the summary, then “Build draft”: the workshop creates the proposal as usual — with outline, target duration and direction.
  4. 4In the editor (step “Content”) tap the assistant and say or type what should change: “delete slide 3”, “make this slide shorter”, “more images”, “move slide 5 to the start”, “swap slide 2 and 4”, “headings blue”, “undo”.
  5. 5Every change is one step in the history of the deck; “Back” undoes it. If a sentence is unclear, the assistant asks; “delete” without a slide number asks first.
  6. 6“My working profile”: allow learning, view what was learned or delete the profile.

Settings and switches#

  • Switchable per tenantDefault: onModule: Kurs-Studio
  • Switchable per tenant, on by default; part of the module “Course Studio”.
  • Assistant voice on or off (remembered in the browser); without voice the text is shown.
  • Learning only with consent, separately per person and organisation; deleting ends the learning.

Every request is a command#

A spoken or typed sentence is first interpreted and then turned into exactly one command of the slide core — the same route that mouse, keyboard and gestures take. That is why every change is in the history and can be undone with one step.

Content requests go through the workshop's revision; its result comes back as a single command.

What the assistant remembers#

  • Length, tone, form of address and language of the last drafts — pre-filled next time, and the assistant says what it has kept.
  • Preferred layouts and colours from your own decks.
  • Recurring corrections (“shorter”, “more images”) — they flow into the next draft as direction.

Only with explicit consent; only the person themselves sees the profile.

Tips#

  • Only counts are learned: length, tone, form of address, language, preferred layouts, colours and recurring corrections — no slide texts and no topics.
  • Content requests (“shorter”, “more images”) use the same revision as in the workshop; finished videos are never regenerated.
