Why#

Studies lead into a profession. Companies find talent, students find internships — and nobody is visible who does not want to be.

How it works#

  1. 1Students: in the dashboard open the card “My external profile”. First set who sees the profile (four levels), then separately whether the study status is shown as well (Fig. 1).

  2. 2Check the block “This and only this would go out” — no course names, no grades, no individual exams (Fig. 2).

  3. 3Fill in headline, “About me”, skills, “I am looking for” (internship, working student job, entry-level job, nothing at the moment), goal, website and “What can I be approached for?” and “Save profile”.
  4. 4“Who follows me” shows in full which companies have bookmarked the profile.
  5. 5“Careers” shows the internship exchange and the public talent profiles; for a job “Express interest”, optionally with a short message.

Settings and switches#

Who sees the profile — four levels#

  • Nobody — only you (default).
  • Other graduates of this university.
  • Graduates and verified companies.
  • Everyone, also without signing in.

The study status is a separate decision, independent of visibility: it also says something about detours — that is why it is asked separately.

Tips#

  • “Delete profile” removes the external profile completely.
  • A company that follows you gets no additional access through it — what it sees is decided solely by your own setting.
