Test students and your own test courses
liveForOperator
Create throwaway students with a real sign-in, move through the platform as them and delete them again — and enrol yourself in any course for testing.
Why#
Testing happens on the real installation, with real recording of usage. That requires accounts that are marked as test accounts and disappear again without a trace.
How it works#
Click pathAdministrationTest students
- 1Open “Test students”. Under “Create”: name (optional — otherwise random), number (1 to 25) and “Enrol in course (€0)”, then “Create student” or “Create … students” (Fig. 1).
Fig. 1 Test students: on the left “Create” with name, number and course, on the right the list with “Sign in as”. - 2The password for manual sign-in appears with a copy button.
- 3In the list, per student, “Sign in as” — a new tab signs in this student there. Back to the operator: sign out in the test tab or keep using your own tab.
- 4Clean up: individually via the bin or “Delete all”.
- 5“My courses (test access)” (address /admin/my-courses): enter one course or, with “All courses into my list”, every course into your own account — without payment, without a voucher; existing ones are skipped.
Settings and switches#
No switch of its own in the feature catalogue — the feature belongs to its surroundings.
What the list shows#
- Name, email and — if available — matriculation number
- the number of enrolled courses
- “Sign in as” (new tab) and delete
Who may do what#
Only the operator — both pages.
Tips#
- Every account created this way is marked as a test account and does not occupy a customer seat.
- The whole route can be played through: course, exam, transcript — with real recording of usage.
Related features#
