Why#

Whoever wants to get to know the platform first chooses from whose point of view: a student's path or the administration's day-to-day business.

How it works#

  1. 1If the feature is on for a tenant, the switch is at the address /erleben.
  2. 2The page “One process, two perspectives” shows two cards: “Studies” (application, courses, exams, transcript) with “Open studies area” and “Administration” (applications, records, examinations office, transcripts) with “Open administration area” (Fig. 1).

Settings and switches#

  • Switchable per tenantDefault: offModule: Lernplattform (always booked)
  • Default: off, until a tenant switches it on. Part of the module “Learning platform”.

The two routes#

  • Studies — from the application via courses and exams to the transcript.
  • Administration — study affairs in day-to-day business: incoming applications, student records, examinations office, issuing transcripts.

Who may do what#

The switch itself is public as soon as it is switched on; only the operator can switch it on and off in the feature catalogue.

Tips#

  • “Open”, not “view”: whoever clicks here works in the platform — the switch is not a promotional tour.
  • A footnote says openly that payment processing is still being connected; all other processes run in production.
