Access codes and voucher health

liveForOperator

Codes with which someone enrols in a course without payment — with a maximum number of redemptions and a sending link; plus a list of stuck enrolments that can be redeemed afterwards at the push of a button.

Why#

For pilot groups, partners and events: a code instead of an invoice — and no enrolment that silently gets stuck.

How it works#

  1. 1Open “Access codes”. Under “Create new unlock code”: choose a course, enter a code or “Random”, “Max. redemptions” (empty = unlimited, 1 = one-time code) and an internal label, then “Create code” (Fig. 1).

  2. 2The list “Codes” shows code (with label), course, “Redeemed” (x / maximum), status (active or deactivated) and the sending link; “Deactivate” or “Activate” per row (Fig. 2).

  3. 3Redemption happens under /coupon/einloesen or via the sending link /start/<course>?code=<CODE>, which prefills the code.
  4. 4“Voucher health” (link at the top of the page): users who registered with a code but whose enrolment is missing — with email, code, course and time.
  5. 5“Redeem all now” catches up on the enrolments; the message states checked, redeemed and genuinely blocked.

Settings and switches#

No switch of its own in the feature catalogue — the feature belongs to its surroundings.

The fields of a code#

  • Course — for which course (and which level) the code applies
  • Code — freely selectable or random; stored in capital letters
  • Max. redemptions — empty = unlimited
  • Label (internal) — what the code is for, e.g. a pilot group

Who may do what#

Create and deactivate codes and catch up on enrolments: only the operator. Redeem: anyone with a code.

Tips#

  • Usually a stuck enrolment heals itself on the next visit to the dashboard or in the daily run; “genuinely blocked” means: used up or invalid code.
  • The link “Launch health” at the top leads to launch readiness with a test email.
